On April 22, 2022, Gutride Safier LLP filed a class action lawsuit against Perfect-brand snacks regarding their false and misleading advertising of the protein content of their products in violation of California law. Specifically, the plaintiffs allege that Perfect-brand makes protein content claims on the front label of their products, such as “15g Protein,” when the protein is low-quality nut-based protein, such taht only 7.5g of that stated protein is useable by humans.
The case, Roffman, et al. v. Perfect Bar LLC., was filed in the United States District Court, Northern District of California, Case No. 3:22-cv-02479.
