Working "off the clock" and without breaks at House of Prime Rib
Until at least 2003, the House of Prime Rib in San Francisco required employees to work off the clock and without breaks. Several suits have been filed seeking unpaid wages and penalties.
In the first suit, four servers were paid a total of $60,000 in back pay and premiums for missed breaks. Another suit seeks to recover amounts due to other servers, bussers and carvers who worked at the House of Prime Rib before 2003. The San Francisco Superior Court has certified the case as a class action. If you were an employee of the House of Prime Rib, please contact us.
