The Allegations:

Seagate overstated the storage capacity of its computer hard drives in advertising and product labeling by approximately 7 percent.

The Results:

Pursuant to the court-approved Settlement Agreement, Seagate agreed to more precisely disclose the capacity of its hard drives on its packaging and website. Further, class members who submitted a claim form received either a cash payment of five percent of the purchase price of the hard drives or the Seagate Software Suite (estimated retail value of approximately $40).

The deadline to file a claim relating to this lawsuit has passed.
