Peter Thomas Roth False Advertising

Cosmetics and Beauty Products

The Allegations:

Defendants are marketing, advertising, and selling “Peter Thomas Roth” brand products that make false claims about the products’ ability to moisturize, repair, regenerate, and rejuvenate the skin, particularly with respect to the “Rose Stem Cell” and “Water Drench” line of products. Defendants have taken advantage of consumers’ natural desires to have youthful, smooth, plump skin by claiming these products are backed by advanced technology and scientific research. As a result of these false claims, Defendants are able to sell their products to unsuspecting consumers at a premium. In reality, consumers are left with expensive, ineffective products that do not live up to the marketing promises.

The Results:

This case was resolved and the Plaintiffs voluntarily dismissed their claims.
