No Cow Protein Bars: Inflated Protein Claims

Food and Beverage Labeling

The Allegations:

D's Naturals, LLC d/b/a No Cow manufactures, distributes, markets, advertises and sells a variety of flavors of protein bars under the brand name "No Cow." All of the protein bars have packaging that predominately, uniformly, and consistently state on the principal display panel of the product labels that they contain and provide a certain amount of protein per serving. The protein claims on the front of the package are unlawfully, unfairly, and deceptively misbranded. The Nutrition Facts Panel on the products uniformly and consistently fail to provide any referenced percent daily value of the products' protein content.

Our Goals:

Our lawsuit seeks compensatory damages to class members and an order enjoining the Defendant from continuing the unlawful, deceptive, fraudulent, and unfair business practices described in the complaint.

The case was filed in the Northern District of California on February 18, 2022. Defenant moved to dismiss in April 2022; Plaintiff has not yet opposed.

Who is Covered:

All persons in the State of California who purchased the No Cow protein bars between February 18, 2018 and the present.
