The Allegations:

Filippo Berio brand olive oils are advertised as "extra virgin" and "imported from Italy." But the olive oils do not originate from Italy and do not meet the requirements for "extra virgin" olive oil.

The Results:

Pursuant to the settlement agreement approved of on July 7, 2017, class members can file a claim for each bottle or can of Filippo Berio Robusto Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Filippo Berio Delicato Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Filippo Berio Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Filippo Berio Olive

Oil, or Filippo Berio Light Tasting Olive Oil purchased between May 23, 2010 and June 30, 2015. Class members receive a cash payment of $0.50 for each purchase during the class period, with a guaranteed minimum payment of $2.00 for any class member who submits a Valid Claim.
